What materials do you use to make signs?

• We use aluminum, aluminum/resin composites, MDO signboard, corrugated plastic (aka "Coroplast"), magnetic sheeting, PVC, Sintra, polycarbonate (aka "Lexan"), acrylic (aka "Plexiglas"), banner fabrics, and vinyl. We also use a variety of sign industry standard sign frame products, stakes, and fasteners.

What brand of vinyl do you computer cut for lettering?

• We use 3M, Avery, and Oracal vinyls, non-reflective and reflective, opaque and translucent, as well as specialty vinyls such as silkscreened gradient vinyls, gold leaf, etc.

Do you make/install/service electric signs?

• Aztec discontinued building, installing and servicing electric signs in 2006. Like many sign companies, we now sell electric signs manufactured by wholesale sign manufacturers, and subcontract the installations to reputable local contractors.

Do you require a deposit at the time of order?

Do you stock marquee sign letters?

• No, but we offer quick, factory-direct delivery through our marquee letter website, SignLetterSupply.com. Wagner slotted marquee letters and Zip-Change marquee sign lettters are shipped from Chicago; Pronto marquee sign letters are shipped from Decorah, Iowa. Both companies normally ship within 48 hours, often next day. UPS Ground shipment transit time to the Des Moines area is normally one business day.

Do you still offer hand lettering?

• Sorry, we do not. We can design it to appear like hand lettering, but all our lettering is either computer-cut vinyl, digital printing, or screenprinted.

Do you do vehicle wraps?

• Sorry, we do not.

I downloaded some clipart I'd like to include on my sign, can you do that?

• We can copy or generate a matching graphic for nearly anything on the Internet, but many downloadable images (other than vector files) are low dpi bitmaps and will incur art charges for Aztec to convert them to art suitable for cutting or printing.
  
  We cannot use copyrighted images like company logos or clipart such as those found on Shutterstock, Getty Images, and countless other sources of copyrighted clipart unless you have a license or release from the copyright owner. Some of these sources make a lot of money hunting and billing/suing violators.
